Our Story

Founded in Tokyo in 1961, Seryna has grown from a traditional Japanese restaurant into a group of restaurants
specializing in shabu-shabu, teppanyaki, and seasonal Japanese cuisine.
Since the beginning, our commitment has remained the same: exceptional food, memorable experiences, and lasting relationships built on trust.

History

  • Nov. 1961 Founded the Japanese restaurant “Seryna” in Roppongi, Tokyo
  • Mar. 1962 Established Seryna Co., Ltd.
    Opened “Seryna Honten,” a specialty shabu-shabu restaurant
  • Sep. 1965 Opened “Roppongi Mon cher ton ton,” a steak restaurant,
    and “Kani Seryna,” a specialty crab restaurant
  • Apr. 1974 Opened “Shinjuku Seryna,” and “Shinjuku Mon cher ton ton” on the 52nd floor of the Shinjuku Sumitomo Bldg.
  • Feb. 1978 Opened the first overseas restaurant “Seryna of Teheran”
  • Nov. 1980 Completed the “Seryna Village” Building in Roppongi
  • Oct. 1983 Opened “New York Seryna” on 5th Avenue in the heart of Manhattan
  • Nov. 1986 Opened “Ginza Seryna” on Chuo-dori street, Ginza
  • Oct. 2020 Opened “Mon cher ton ton Hibiya” inside The Peninsula Tokyo
